Trading Paint Racing on the Edge Book 3 edition by Shey Stahl Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This is book 3 in the Racing on the Edge Series. It tells the story that plays out in book 1 and book 2 in Jameson's point of view. It was such a wonderful treat to see how he felt through all the things that happened. I can't say enough about this series. It is one of my favorite series ever. I love it so much I can't let go. I find myself going back an re-reading all the books. It is a story and a family that will stay in my heart forever.
I love this series and all the people in it. It was good to hear from things from Jameson point of view about there early years together. The things I didn't like was how he treat other women and what Charlie asked Jameson to keep secret. Can't wait for the next one.
When I first started reading this book, I wasn’t sure I was gonna be able to get into it... it’s been about a year since I started the series, and I flew thru reading book 1 & 2 in days, but this one really didn’t get good until chapter 20... I’d forgotten how good the series was... I also have a fond affection for little Lane and his little words of advice to his Uncle
Just to let everyone know this should be book 1. This starts out when they are children from Jameson's POV. I like the insight of the guy because it let's us know what is going on without the whining and emotional entanglements. This story gets to the root of Jameson's commitmentphobe behavior. I was disappointed with his sexual escapades because it shows how flawed he really his especially his thinking. This book was incredible and I would have been more enthusiastic with this series had I read this book first.
This one is a look at how the characters grew as friends, and how Jameson because the man he is. Through out the books you hear about what went on dying the summer when he wanted to try and this is what that book is. Not only do we see Ally and Spencer's love, but we see this amazing friendship between Sway and Jameson. I loved it! 4 stars #2OCCJD
All the stories in this series are amazing. She tells the story of their lives together and apart from the time Jameson and Sway were kids into adulthood with kids of their own. Shey actually makes you feel like you are in the drivers seat of the race cars, her use of terms for the racing and their personal encounters is very creative. (Camshaft/crankshaft-hehe and their dirty car talk, love it) She is one of the most unique authors i've ever had the chance to read. *** I stand and wave my Checkered Flag for this series!
Wow! What a great series. My biggest complaint when I read a book that I have really enjoyed (and there aren't that many anymore) is "what happens to them now?". Ms. Stahl's books are wonderful because you get to find out what happens as they grow and mature. I know they're only characters in a book but the point of me reading is the entertainment. I was very entertained by the three books I have already read. I didn't realize in the beginning this was a series but fortunately I started with the correct book (Vol 1). I can't tell you how many times I have laughed aloud. Sometimes I would laugh so hard at Sway (her thoughts and her comments), that I would cry. Someone in another review mentioned how they lost so much sleep. Well start a group because I did too, and I'm not sorry!
So I'm now going back to read "Trading Paint" (Vol 3).
What is the excerpt I read in the back of "The Champion" (Vol 4)? I did not see a release date - would anyone know when it is coming out - it has perspectives from Jimi and Nancy, the parents.
